Nothing against Paisley's version but I prefer Patty Loveless's. Her version conveys (to me) so much of the isolation and the despair; and the family tradition (mine anyway) of the men dying in the mines.
Naomi, I'll have to check out Patty's version. I heard Paisley's version on the TV show Justified in the season finale and it moved me. Thanks for the comments.
